Two more men charged over Jack Donoghue murder

DETECTIVES investigating the death of Jack Donoghue in Solihull have charged two more men with murder.

Tyrall Blake and Nile Bennett appeared before Birmingham Magistrates Court on December 5 in connection with the killing in Poplar Road in the early hours of Saturday, November 30.

Blake, aged 21, of no fixed address, is accused of murder, violent disorder, assault with intent to commit robbery and having a knife in public.

Bennett, 22, of Court Lane, Erdington, is charged with murder and violent disorder.

Mr Donoghue was taken to hospital with serious stab injuries but the 21-year-old died shortly after.

Two other men, aged 20 and 21, were charged with murder last week.

Another 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and released on bail, while a man aged 39 was detained on suspicion of assisting an offender and released pending further investigation.

Detective Chief Inspector Jim Munro, from the force's homicide team, said:  "Our officers have been working round the clock to find those responsible for the killing of Jack.

"We have also received a fantastic response from the public who have provided important information during our enquiries so far."
