Urgent appeal as Irish girl, 12, goes missing in London while visiting family

Police in England have launched an urgent appeal for information following the disappearance of a 12-year-old girl from a high street in South London.

Emma has been missing since this afternoon after being last seen walking down the street; she is twelve years old and from Ireland, and is in England to visit family.

Emma was last seen today on Beckenham High Street, South London at around 3.15pm, and has not been seen since.

Police and Emma's family are concerned for her welfare and have asked the public to keep an eye out for the missing girl.

When last seen, Emma was wearing black rimmed reading glasses, a navy blue hooded sweatshirt, black three-quarter-length leggings and black Fila trainers.

She is described as being of slim build and with long brown hair.

Anyone who has information which may lead to Emma being located, or anyone who believes they may have seen the missing girl, is urged to contact police immediately by calling 999.

In a statement, Bromley police said:

"Please help us find 12-year-old Emma who is missing from Beckenham, South London. Emma is from Ireland and is visiting family in London, she was last seen on Beckenham High Street at approximately 3.15pm on Thursday, 29 July 2021.

"Emma is slim build with brown hair and is wearing black rimmed reading glasses a navy blue hooded sweatshirt, black ¾ length leggings and black Fila trainers.

"Please call 999 quoting ref: CAD 4479 of 29th July 21."
