WATCH: Thai Tims song backs Ireland for Euro 2016 glory

IRELAND have been given a boost ahead of their Euro 2016 campaign by the Thai Tims.

The group, comprising students from the Good Child Foundation in Thailand, are famous for their songs about Scottish team Celtic.

However they’ll be backing Martin O’Neill’s men in France and are convinced he and “the man from Cork City”, Roy Keane, will have Sweden, Belgium and Italy running scared.

The Good Child Foundation promotes inclusive education and offers placements to children of all ages and abilities, including children with Downs Syndrome, at their school in Thailand’s Chanthaburi province.

Celtic fan Paul Lennon, who lives in Thailand and has a Downs Syndrome son, volunteers with the organisation and uses Celtic and Irish songs to help teach the children English.

Recordings of their songs came to prominence following the tragic 2011 murder of Reamonn Gormley, who previously volunteered with the Good Child Foundation and was filmed singing Celtic songs with the students.

The videos became an online hit and helped raise awareness of the organisation and forge a bond between it and the Glasgow club.
