Woman, 22, savaged by fox that sneaked into her bed as she slept

The woman was attacked by a fox which left her with six wounds on her arm.

Jodie Nailard was asleep in her flat in Clapham on June 17 when a fox crept into her ground floor flat in Clapham, London.

The fox woke her up by biting her arm at 5.30am on Sunday morning.

The 22-year-old told The Sun that she was terrified when she was woken up:"My left bicep was throbbing with pain and covered in blood and I wondered what the hell had happened".

She said she kicked the fox in a daze and was hysterical: "Then I saw a fox at the end of my bed and I just screamed and burst into tears.

"As I sat up I accidentally kicked it and it jumped off the bed and ran out of the door," she added.

Ms Nailard was hospitalised for two days and vaccinated following the bites, which protected her against rabies, tetanus and polio.
