Happy Hurloween! Dublin man showcases serious sports skills with pumpkin hurling challenge

HALLOWEEN has an ancient Celtic history and one Dubliner has fused it with another age-old Irish tradition to create a thoroughly entertaining challenge.

David Wogan is the creator of Play Hurling, a YouTube channel, which was set-up in 2014 with the aim of teaching people in the US how to play the popular Irish sport.

And he looks well capable of handing out a lesson or two if his pinpoint accuracy is anything to go by, with his skills evident in this special Halloween instalment, titled Hurloween Pumpkin Smash.

David and a student of the game attempt to dismantle a pumpkin by launching a sliotar at one from range, but despite some accurate striking, the giant orange target proves a resilient opponent.
