Ireland's Shay Given trolls Kris Boyd after Celtic's trashing of Rangers

FORMER IRELAND goalkeeper Shay Given has finally got the better of fellow pundit and Rangers fan Kris Boyd. Given, who still supports Celtic after a spell with the club as a youth player in the 90s still loves the club.

Boyd has been winding up over Rangers signing of Arsenal and Wales legend Aaron Ramsey.

Boyd and Given are often on punditry together and were even  in Sky Sports studio when news of Ramsey’s shock loan move to Ibrox broke.

Boyd taunted Given with a fist bump over the news that Rangers had got their man.

Given was clearly not taking Boyd's glee well, but after seeing Celtic go top of the Scottish Premiership and 60,000 fans, Given had a lot more to smile about.

The Donegal native had the last laugh as Celtic trashed their Glasgow rivals 3-0 on Wednesday, two days later after Ramsey's arrival

During the game, where Celtic were 3-0 up, Boyd's reaction had changed completely. His facial reaction was recorded with home fans behind the Sky Sports’ studio capturing the iconic moment

Given tweeted from his own social media account telling Boyd to keep his chin up

"Great to be back in paradise last night. The Bhoys @celticfc did not disappoint, keep your chins up @krisboyd9."

A 3-0 victory for Ange Postecoglou's side - as Ramsey watched from the stand - killed off the transfer buzz at Ibrox and put a very different complexion on the title race.

With Rangers having been top of the table since September, Celtic have been forced to bide their time to get back to the summit.
