Kick-Off Times Confirmed for URC Quarter-Finals

The details for the United Rugby Championship quarter-final play-offs next month have been released today, with all four Irish provinces in action this coming May.

First up is an All-Ireland provincial derby between Ulster and Connacht on May 5. The game at the Kingspan will kick off at 7:35pm and will be broadcast on a number of platforms, including TG4 and Supersport.

The URC league leaders Leinster will face South Africa's Cell C Sharks in the Aviva Stadium the following day. That game will kick off at 5PM and can be seen on RTE.

Finally, Munster will take on Glasgow Warriors in Scotland on the same day. That game will kick off at 19:35 and can also be seen on RTE.

In the early game on Saturday, defending champions DHL Stormers will take on their South African rivals, Vodacom Bulls, in a rematch of last season’s URC Grand Final.

Semi-final details were also confirmed. They will take place on the weekend of 12/13 May, and there is a chance of a Leinster vs Munster clash.

The future semi-final winners will then meet on Saturday, May 27th, at the venue of the highest-ranked team to have qualified for the Grand Final.

In a change to last season’s rules, the teams with the highest seeding in each Semi-Final will have home venue rights. Previously, the winners of QF1 and QF2 were guaranteed home draws no matter their ranking.

SF1: Leinster (1) / Cell C Sharks (8) v Glasgow Warriors (4) / Munster (5)

SF2: Ulster (2) / Connacht (7) v DHL Stormers (3) / Vodacom Bulls (6)

The Semi-Final winners will meet on Saturday, May 27 at the venue of the highest-ranked team to have qualified for the BKT United Rugby Championship Grand Final.

The United Rugby Championship would also like to thank all broadcasters involved in the scheduling process for their speedy approach.
