London Irish confirm side for Premiership Rugby Cup final

DECLAN KIDNEY has confirmed the squad that will welcome Worcester Warriors to the Brentford Community Stadium on Tuesday night to contest the Premiership Rugby Cup final (7:45pm kick-off).

Facundo Gigena, Mike Willemse and Marcel van der Merwe form the front row, with Chunya Munga and Rob Simmons in the second row.

Matt Rogerson captains the side from the six jersey and is joined in the back row by Juan Martin Gonzalez and Albert Tuisue.

Ben White and Paddy Jackson are the halfback duo, with Benhard van Rensburg and Will Joseph forming the centre partnership.

Ollie Hassell-Collins, Lucio Cinti and Henry Arundell are the back three.

“Cup finals are a special occasion in professional rugby and the players, staff and supporters are well within their right to be excited for Tuesday night’s final,” explained Declan Kidney, Director of Rugby.

“This has been a good competition for us this season and we are looking forward to tomorrow night.

“Worcester will come to west London with a full-strength squad, so we know we will have to be at our best to get a positive result.”
