The BBC have apologised after their presenters were subjected to a sex noise prank live on air last night

ENGLAND'S STATE BROADCASTER THE BBC have apologised for the scenes before Liverpool and Wolverhampton Wanderers FA Cup replay on Tuesday night. 

Pundits Gary Lineker, Danny Murphy, Paul Ince, and Alan Shearer were all working for the game, when a loud pornographic wailing noise could be heard coming from somewhere close by

The noise came and went throughout the analysis everytime someone spoke but it eventually stopped as the game started.

A statement from a spokesperspon from the BBC said, "We apologise to any viewers offended during the live coverage of the football this evening."

A phone was later found revealing it to be a prank

While Lineker later shared a photo of the phone in question saying, "Well, we found this taped to the back of the set. As sabotage goes it was quite amusing"

People watching at home saw the funny side of it and offered various takes to the situation

"Absolutely incredible work from you in that situation. I can't even imagine what must be going through your head," said one Twitter user.

"Love how Lineker and Shearer blamed Murphy, said another"

The culprit of the prank has since been revealed as a YouTuber.

YouTube prankster Daniel Jarvis claimed he was behind the stunt, posting a video on Twitter that appeared to show him at Molineux.

The BBC in their statement have also revealed that they are looking into the matter

"We are investigating how this happened,"they added.
