Callum McCormack, Shane Dempsey, and Ray Connellan struck goals for Tom Cribbin's team improving midlanders'.

Longford staged a dramatic recovery to beat Offaly at Tullamore on Saturday evening.

Jack Sheedy's side trailed by seven points at one stage, but Brian Kavanagh's free-taking spearheaded the revival.

At Netwatch Cullen Park Laois were far too classy for Carlow as Donie Kingston scored 1-5.

Out west at Carrick-on-Shannon Galway were never in any trouble against Leitrim as Damien Comer netted a goal and Paul Conroy rifled over six points.
