Irish football fans show their softer side by singing a lullaby to a baby at the Euros

THE good spirits, great sense of humour and general brilliance of the Irish football supporters who have travelled to the Euros to support their team has been one of the most positive stories of the competition so far.

To date, we've seen the boys in green change tyres for elderly couples, serenade nuns while travelling by train, befriend the Croatians, and win over the Swedes.

Now, the Ireland fans are singing lullabies to babies while taking public transport around France.

In this YouTube clip, posted by Bro.ie  a group of Irish fans are seen singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star to placate a small baby.

The baby is draped in an Irish flag and seems to be calmed by the hushed singing.

After a 3-0 defeat to the Belgians on Saturday, Ireland fans will be hoping for a better result in their next  Euro 2016 fixture on Wednesday 22 when they face Italy.
