RTÉ have made a selection of their TV programmes available to view free online over Christmas and New Year for the Irish in Britain and elsewhere around the world.
As part of the broadcaster’s ‘Come Home For Christmas’ campaign viewers in Britain will be able to access more than 21 shows including Republic of Telly 2013 Box Set, Dermot Morgan – Fearless Funnyman, New Year’s Eve Live – The Ultimate Gathering and the Fleadh Cheoil.
All of the shows will be available to view live and on-demand on the RTE Player which can be found at www.rte.ie/player or as an app on the iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch and nearly 2000 Android devices.
Currently a number of RTE comedy programmes are online and include all three series of Naked Camera, the Hardy Bucks Christmas Special and Republic of Telly 2013.
On Christmas Eve, viewers will be able to access For One Night Only ... Phil Coulter and a number of Christmas religious services in the coming days.
Among the highlights of this year's Christmas religious programmes on RTÉ One are Carols from Dublin Castle; Midnight Mass; Mass for Christmas Day; Urbi et Orbi and services from Dublin and Belfast.
Other highlights include New Year's Eve Live – The Ultimate Gathering, which will see Dáithí Ó Sé and Sinéad Kennedy presenting from the 3 NYE concert in College Green, Dublin, with Will Leahy welcoming Limerick City of Culture with a special concert on the banks of the Shannon.
