Irish priest recreates classic Father Ted scene for charity

MAYO priest Father John Kenny is on a mission to raise money for suicide prevention charity Pieta House by emulating one of the most famous priests ever.

Fr Kenny recreated a scene from Father Ted, played by Dermot Morgan, to promote a charity event.

The famous "I hear you're a racist now, Father" line has been replaced with "I hear you're organising races now, Father".

Fr Kenny is holding a "Pedal Paddle Pilgrimage" on May 21 - which involves a cycle, climbing Croagh Patrick and paddling across Clew Bay, with all money raised going to Pieta House.

Fr Kenny is no stranger to the spotlight, having earned the nickname "Father Trendy" for his celebrity selfies last year.
