THE IRISH know how to do a good beer garden.
As the first country in the world to ban smoking in pubs back in 2004, the nation's publicans invested in their outdoor spots, leaving Ireland with someone of the most delectable beer gardens in the world.
Upon moving to London I found myself wanting-- London culture is standing on the street with your pint after work, and sometimes it can be hard to find comfortable outside seating to nurse your pint of Guinness.
Well worry no more-- we've compiled this list of the best Irish beer gardens in London, just in time for tomorrow's threat of 38 degree sunshine.

8. The Claddagh Ring
Hendon, North London
One of the biggest and most impressive Irish bars in London, The Claddagh Ring is the perfect spot to work on your tan while enjoying a drink and making new friends. There's plenty of space for everyone to enjoy. Sláinte!
7. Blythe Hill Tavern
Catford, East London.
Is it just me or can anyone almost taste this image? Seriously-- I'm on my way there right now.
6. The Porterhouse
Covent Garden, Central London
They have a main bar, a Dingle Whiskey bar, a Cocktail bar and a terrace with ample space to soak up the sun. Their beer is hand-crafted in Dublin and shipped over for Londoners to enjoy, making it one of the most authentic Irish bars in the city. What more do you need?
5. The Oxford Arms
Camden, North London
This Mayo-obsessed tavern is the spot to be on a sunny day, and if you're like me and burn at the slightest hint of sun, you can hide under the shade of the garden roof. Maigh Eo abú!
4. Monaghans Tavern
Wood Green, North London
Owned by the JCB man Seamus Moore, the new wooden decking catches the early afternoon sun-- and pints are £2.50 until 6pm. Perfect for a liquid lunch.

Nunhead, South London
This Irish bar's beer garden is on-par with The Faltering Fullback's multi-storey jungle. Just imagine sipping a cocktail with this view. B-e-a-utiful.

This Camden-based bar promises good drinks, good company and good craic-- and the spacious beer garden will (almost definitely) not be covered in snow.

Chiswick, West London
This laid-back Chiswick pub offers a relaxed atmosphere with the outside seating providing a perfect opportunity for people-watching-- and, of course, they do a good Guinness.
