ASTRONAUT Commander Chris Hadfield ha returned back to earth having earned a special place in Irish hearts.
The Canadian astronaut, whose daughter is living in Ireland, became the first person to tweet ‘as Gaelige’ from space.
He also took a series of photos and videos of Ireland from space.
To mark his departure he recorded a special cover of David Bowie’s Space Oddity from space, while below is his cover of Jimmy McCarthy's song, Ride On, which was made famous by Christy Moore.
