A teenage rape suspect from Blackpool who was on the run in Ireland has been arrested in Co. Antrim.
Ryan Humpage, 18, was wanted by police in Lancashire, after being charged with the rape of a 13-year-old girl in the area.
It is understood that the teenager, who was described as “dangerous”, breached the conditions of his bail – and was spotted in Ireland in recent weeks.
Police forces on both sides of the border in Ireland launched a search for him last week, before PSNI in Antrim located him on Saturday (May 2).
Gardaí in Kildare had previously confirmed that he was spotted in the Naas area and there were also reported sightings in Co. Sligo.
Humpage remains in police custody in the North of Ireland while arrangements are made to bring him back to England.
