Concern growing for Irishman missing from hospital in Britain

POLICE are increasingly concerned for the welfare of a 42-year-old Irish man who went missing from a local hospital.

Thomas Conners, known also to his family as Thomas Francis O'Neill, was reported missing from Derriford Hospital in Plymouth, Devon on Monday afternoon.

He was last seen leaving the hospital at around 12.20pm on April 3.

Police have released a CCTV image of Mr Conners along with his picture in hopes of finding him.

They say he is being categorised as a 'high risk' missing person.

Mr Conners is described as 5' 7" tall, of thin build with mousy brown hair. He was last seen wearing a khaki green jacket and jeans.

He speaks with an Irish accent and was previously of no fixed abode.

A police spokesperson said: "If you know Thomas and have seen him or know where he is, or if you have seen a man of this description, please call 999 quoting log 440 of 3rd April 2017."
