Gardaí investigate after man in his 60s dies in suspected hit-and-run

A MAN in his 60s has died following a suspected hit-and-run in Co. Cork.

His body was discovered at around 9.30am at the side of the road at Ballybane, Liscarroll.

It is believed he was stuck by a vehicle either last night or early this morning.

The 67-year-old’s body remains at the scene, between Castlecor and Johns Bridge.

The scene has been preserved for a technical examination and the State pathologist has been contacted.

Gardaí have launched an investigation and have appealed for witnesses.
