Gardai in Co Kerry have launched an investigation into the accidental death of a farmer on a farm yesterday.
Gardaí were called to the scene of an incident at 11am yesterday on a farm in the Listowel area.
A man in his 90s was found to be fatally injured.
He was taken to the nearest hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Farm Safety Week takes place all over Ireland this week aiming to reduce the number of accidents on farms.
According to Farm Ireland, last year 24 people lost their lives in farm accidents.
