AN IRISH lottery winner has revealed the first major purchase he wants to make after scooping €250,000 in the Lotto – and it’s a big one.
The young punter from Donegal is reportedly set to celebrate his big money win by hiring a skip to clear out his home.
Before he spends another penny of his newfound wealth, the young man wants to clear the decks with a major clean-up of his flat.
Evidently keen to declutter his current residence and make room for some of his new purchases, the skip is the first of many planned purchases from the young man, who won the Lotto Plus 2 jackpot for the draw on Saturday May 4th.
"It’s funny, when I checked my ticket numbers online and I realised I had won, I was barely able to sit still,” he told the Irish Mirror.
"It’s crazy now when I say it but once the shock had settled, I was thinking, I could go back to college part-time, I could get a new car and I could get a house, but all I can think of is hiring a skip to clear out some clutter in my current home!
"It’s been something on my mind for a while and I keep putting the clear-out on the long finger but when I get home later today, the first thing I’ll be doing is ordering that skip and after that, we’ll see what happens!"
