Man in his 20's arrested after stripping naked and walking around Dublin shopping centre

A MAN in his 20’s has been arrested after he stripped down completely naked outside a busy shopping centre over the weekend.

The incident happened on Saturday afternoon when Gardai received complaints from shoppers at Laurel Lodge shopping centre in Castleknock that man was roaming the streets around the shopping centre with no clothes on.

A number of images and videos taken by passers-by show the man wandering through the streets with his trousers under his arm.

At one point, the man stops on the side of the street and throws his trousers on the ground while appearing to urinate on the lawn at the side of the road.

According to reports, the man was intoxicated.

In a statement, a Gardai spokesperson said: "Gardai in Blanchardstown were called to an incident in the Laurel Lodge part of Dublin 15 on Saturday the 5 of May 2018 at approx. 2.28pm.

"A man in his 20s was arrested at the scene under Section 4 Public Order Act and is being detained in Blanchardstown Garda Station."
