Man dies after being stabbed at a house in Wexford

GARDAI ARE investigating the death of a 33-year-old man who was stabbed at a house in Co Wexford.

An unnamed 33-year-old male was found unresponsive in the front garden of a property in Ramsgate Village, Gorey, just before 2am this Sunday, January 26.

Irish police found the man after responding to reports of an incident at the same house.

Though he was treated for his injuries at the scene by emergency services personnel, he was pronounced dead a short while after.

A woman in her 30s has been arrested in connection with the incident and is currently being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act at Gorey Garda station.

Gardaí are investigating "all of the circumstances surrounding" his death with an incident room set up at the nearby Garda station.

The body of the man remains at the scene of his death while Irish police await the arrival of the State Pathologist and Garda Technical Bureau.

In the meantime, the authorities are appealing for witnesses, or anyone with any other information linked to the crime, to contact them in at 053-943-0690.
