MCDONALD’S HAS found the perfect way to banish those January blues: free cheeseburgers.
With today, January 21st, marking the arrival of Blue Monday – what is officially seen as the most depressing day of the year – the fast food giant is launching a week-long campaign of free food for customers across the UK and Ireland.
After the excesses of Christmas and the new year, many people are currently waiting for payday, living on a diet of dried noodles and baked beans.
More significantly, researchers reckon a combination of the January weather, mounting debut, end of Christmas and failure of New Year’s resolutions has seen most people return to work feeling glum for the busy weeks ahead.
McDonald’s is here to offer some help though with some lovely free cheeseburgers.
To access this free food, all cheeseburger-lovers have to do is download the McDonald’s app rom 10:30am this morning.
Once downloaded, they simply need to set up an account and head to the My Deals section in order to claim a free cheeseburger. Best of all, no additional purchases are necessary.
What is more, those downloading the app will be able to get their hands on a free cheeseburger at any point in the next five days. One per customer, of course.
