Netflix are showing a documentary about puppies becoming guide dogs - and it's the cutest thing

DOG LOVERS ... Assemble!

Scratch that. Animal lovers ... Assemble!

Actually wait. Everybody ... Assemble!

Netflix are now showing an adorably uplifting documentary about puppies being trained to be guide dogs, and it's nailed on to make you laugh, cry and probably go out and buy a puppy or two.

The documentary, entitled Pick Of The Litter follows five Labrador puppies on their journey to becoming the visually impaired's vest friend.

Training starts almost immediately after the puppies are born and lasts until they're nearly two-years-old, and we get to experience all the ups, downs, barks and belly-rubs along the way.

The synopsis reads: "Cameras follow these pups through an intense two-year odyssey as they train to become dogs whose ultimate responsibility is to protect their blind partners from harm.

"These remarkable animals rely on a community of dedicated individuals who train them to do amazing, life-changing things in the service of their human. The stakes are high and not every dog can make the cut. Only the best of the best. The pick of the litter."

The puppies; Patriot, Potomac, Primrose, Poppet and Phil are as adorable as they are intelligent, and each have their own unique personalities and traits.

But not every lovable dog-trait makes a good companion for the blind, so will all five pass the test they've been practising for all their lives?

You'll have to head over to Netflix to find out.
