Two men stabbed and woman injured in Belfast incident

POLICE are investigating after two men were stabbed in the Shankill area of West Belfast last night.

A woman also sustained a head injury in the incident, which occurred at around 11.30pm in the Percy Street area, reports BBC News.

A 21-year-old man received two stab wounds to the back while a 19-year-old man was stabbed in the side and the shoulder.

The three were taken to hospital for treatment.

It is the second stabbing incident in the west of the city in less than 24 hours.

Shortly after 4.15am on Friday, a 24-year-old man received two stab wounds to his neck in the Carrigart Avenue area.

He was taken to hospital where his condition is described as serious.

A 32-year-old man was arrested for grievous bodily harm with intent, disorderly behaviour and assault on police.
