WATCH: Adorable Tyrone toddler cheers for Mayo despite best efforts of exasperated mammy

A LITTLE Irish girl has gone viral after footage emerged of her cheering for Mayo, despite being from a family of Tyrone fans.

Caroline O’Neill posted a video on Instagram of her adorable daughter Tess learning the words to some Tyrone chants ahead of the All Ireland final on Saturday.

But despite her mother and brother's best efforts, 19-month-old Tess hilariously kept cheering for Mayo.

Caroline explained that after watching Mayo take on Dublin last month, Tess couldn't get the Mayo chants she learned out of her head.

"Tess is a little confused about who she wants to win," she wrote.

"We are obviously cheering for @officaltyronegaa to win but Tess can't forget about good aul Mayo."

Tess gets it right to begin with, chanting "come on Tyrone, you’re on your own" - but then decides it’s more fun to shout for Mayo instead.

Her mum repeatedly tells her "No!", while laughing, but Tess doesn't seem to get the message.

"Come on Mayo," she repeats over and over.

Sounds like Tyrone have lost a loyal supporter!
