Kerry captain Kieran Donaghy dropped for All-Ireland final

KERRY boss Eamonn Fitzmaurice has dropped captain Kieran Donaghy for Sunday’s All-Ireland final clash with Dublin.

Paul Geaney has been handed a start in Donaghy’s place, with David Moran to captain the Kingdom in their bid for a 38th senior title.

Dingle man Geaney replaced Donaghy at half-time in Kerry’s semi-final win over Tyrone and appears to have impressed enough to keep his place.

Further changes to Fitzmaurice’s side include Fionn Fitzgerald and Aidan O’Mahoney coming in for Paul Murphy and Marc Ó Sé in the full-back line.

Kerry XV v Dublin:

1 Brendan Kealy; 2 Fionn Fitzgerald, 3 Aidan O’Mahony, 4 Shane Enright; 5 Jonathan Lyne, 6 Peter Crowley, 7 Killian Young; 8 Anthony Maher, 9. David Moran (C); 10 Stephen O’Brien, 11 Johnny Buckley, 12 Donnchadh Walsh; 13 Colm Cooper, 14 Paul Geaney, 15 James O’Donoghue.
