Roy Keane has doubled down on his Brazil dancing comments

MANCHESTER UNITED AND IRELAND legend Roy Keane has doubled down on his 'disrespectful' Brazil dancing comments in the World Cup.

Earlier this week Brazil's recorded a 4-1 win over South Korea

Tournament favourites Brazil raced into a 4-0 lead over South Korea within 45 minutes on Monday. After every goal, each Brazilian goal scorer broke into a dance on the side-line. This included the likes of Neymar, Richarlison, Lucas Paqueta and even the coach Tite.

The game ended and to nobody's surprise Keane took issue with the dancing claiming that it was 'disrespectful'.

Speaking on ITV, he said: "I don't mind the first jig, or whatever it was, for the first goal, but not every time. It is disrespectful. Even their manager gets involved. I don't like it," said Keane on ITV.

"I can't believe what I'm watching. I've never seen so much dancing. It's like watching Strictly. Brazil is fantastic but South Korea? My goodness.”

Brazilian media and fans were highly critical of the former United captain for his take.

Brazil manager Tite hit back at the time by saying. “There are always people who are evil who will say that it’s disrespectful."

“It was not to diminish or look down on our opponents.”

And goal scorer Paquetá had his say on the matter after the game: “The dance is a representation of our joy after scoring a goal. We don’t do it to disrespect anyone, we don’t do it in front of our opponents." "We all get together to celebrate. If they don’t like it, there’s not much to say."

We will keep scoring goals and keep dancing. This is a group that is happy to score, to get the victory and the goals.”

Speaking before Brazil's game against Croatia, Keane doubled down on his comments via Sky Bet, saying: “I love watching Brazil and what they stand for.

“I don't get how a manager can dance when the game is still going ahead, he's got an opposition manager 10 yards away from him, you've got to watch that.

“The game is about respect. Dance afterwards in the dressing room, or in the nightclub, that's not a problem.

Shortly after this tournament favourites Brazil were knocked out the tournament on penalties by a plucky Croatia side.

The sides couldn't be separated during normal time and headed into extra time all square.

Brazil believed they had won the tie in the first half of normal time due to some magic by Neymar, but Croatia scored an equaliser via Bruno Petkovic.

Brazil's missed penalties came via Rodrygo and Marquinhos.

The wait for their 6th World Cup and their first since 2022 will have to wait.
