Sam Prendergast starts for Leinster today

LEINSTER HAVE ANNOUNCED THEIR TEAM TO FACE The Emirates Lions in the United Rugby Championship (3pm)

U20 Grand slam winner Sam Prendergast gets his first start for his home province. He starts beside Nick McCarthy as one of Leinster's half backs.

The teenager was part of Ireland's u20 Grand Slam success last month and highly rated at Leinster.

Leo Cullen has gone with a back three of Chris Cosgrove, Tommy O'Brien, and Dave Kearney.

In midfield Ben Brownlee and Liam Turner start in South Africa.

In the pack Michael Milne, Lee Barron, Vakhtang Abdaladze start, with Brian Deeny and  Jason Jenkins providing second row cover.

The side is finally completed by a back. row of Rhys Ruddock, Will Connors and Max Deegan

On the bench, five Academy players are set to feature with Alex Soroka, James Culhane, Ben Murphy, Charlie Tector and Rob Russell all aiming to play some part
