GOLFER Rory McIlroy and rugby’s Brian O’Driscoll proved they're not too bad at the other’s sport, when they met at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship.
A set of rugby posts had been erected on the driving range at the Abu Dhabi Golf Club and the duo first attempted a drop goal with a rugby ball.
O’Driscoll’s efforts were far from tidy, with some kicks even missing the posts, while McIlroy sent the ball over the uprights at the first attempt.
The Northern Irishman then decided to bring his favoured golf club and ball into the equation, but missed.
After some coaching from the recently-retired O’Driscoll, two-time major winner McIlroy was then able to bisect the posts before O’Driscoll completed the task with his first swing.
