Iceland doubles its presence in Ireland by launching in four new Dunnes stores

ICELAND has doubled its presence in Ireland in recent weeks by launching concessions in four new Dunnes stores.

The British supermarket chain, which specialises in frozen foods and other groceries, launched under its successful ‘store-within-a-store’ concept at Dunnes in Ennis on October 30 and in Charlestown, Clondalkin and Marshes on October 31, November 5 and November 7 respectively.

Iceland now has eight concessions in Dunnes Stores across Ireland

The new openings brings the total number of Iceland concessions within Dunnes Stores to eight, marking what the company describes as “a significant expansion of Iceland’s footprint in Ireland”.

“We’re excited to announce that we’re doubling the number of concessions in Ireland by bolstering our partnership with Dunnes,” Justin Addison, International and Partnerships Director at Iceland Foods, said.

“Through opening another four, we’re making Iceland products more accessible for Irish customers so they can enjoy our incredible deals across everyday essentials and exclusive brands.”

Iceland currently supplies frozen products to more than 70 Dunnes Stores across Ireland.

Its first four concession sites opened in Dublin’s The Square Tallaght and Point Village stores, as well as in Limerick and Terryland.

“Our partnership with Dunnes is vital to expanding Iceland’s presence beyond UK borders,” Mr Addison said.

“With both retailers sharing similar values and goals, we’re committed to growing this partnership well into the future.”
