Charity delivers cultural support packages to Irish inmates at Nottingham prison

ALONG with the daily work behind the scenes on supporting Irish prisoners across Britain, the Irish Chaplaincy charity has been delivering special support packages to inmates in Nottingham.

The organisation's Irish Travellers Lead, Ellena Costello recently found time to collate and deliver the gifts to Irish prisoners based at Nottingham HMP.

Each package contains a short history of Ireland, a CD of motivation devised by 'Penal Reform Solutions', a book of Irish reflections and poems, edited by Father Gerry Mc Flynn, a colouring book and a wordsearch.

Faz Mohammed, Managing Chaplin at HMP Nottingham

Unable to visit the prison in person, volunteers in Nottingham were pleased to deliver these boxes to Faz Mohammed, Managing Chaplin at HMP Nottingham, on behalf of John Seeney, Roman Catholic Chaplin.
