Ed Sheeran helps pal Jake Roche to propose to his Little Mix girlfriend

KIND-hearted Ed Sheeran has done it again - this time helping out his friend ask the most important question of his life.

The 24-year-old third-generation Irishman travelled five hours across the country to sing as Coleen Nolan's son Jake Roche got down on one knee for his girlfriend, Little Mix singer Jesy Nelson.

Rixton singer Jake, the son of Irish singer Coleen Nolan and Eastenders star Shane Richie, decided to pop the question on stage in the Manchester Arena on Sunday (July 19).

A year ago today I met her at manchester arena, so it was only right, with a little help from my friend, that this happened. Best day of my life.

While a private gig like this can surely get Sheeran a nice wage in normal circumstances, it appears mate's rates were in place for this particular night. Roche and Nelson can rest easy knowing that their special night cost them no more than the price of a KFC meal.
