Kodaline set to record second album, Around The Corner, in LA

KODALINE have announced details of their biggest US tour to date and have also revealed that work is underway on their second album.

The Dublin band's next record is provisionally titled Around the Corner with the group planning on heading to Los Angeles to record at the end of this month.

They will then return to the US in October for a large-scale tour.

The four-piece recently impressed TV audiences in the US with their performance on American Idol and frontman Steve Garrigan described the experience as “amazing.”

Fellow band member Mark described meeting judge Jennifer Lopez backstage as the most memorable part of their appearance.

“We just stood there in silence and in awe,” Mark said.

Kodaline’s rising popularity in the US was also marked by the visit of One Direction’s Harry Styles to two of their concerts in Los Angeles earlier this year, with the British singer declaring himself a big fan of the band.

Kodaline will be performing at Somerset House in London in July and the V Festival in August
