A two-month-old baby was left in a car as a passenger was dragged from the car and beaten.
The attack occurred on Bridge Street in Portadown, County Armagh at 3.30pm.
The victim, in his twenties, was taken from his car and beaten by 7 males, leaving the baby in the car with a female passenger.
The driver of the car was also assaulted and the car attacked.
A 15-year-old boy was arrested nearby on suspicion of a number of offences including assault, bodily harm and criminal damage but was released on bail.
PSNI are appealing for information.
