AN IMPROMPTU trad session broke out at Knock Airport this week as a local group put on a show for passengers waiting in the lounge.
The session was performed by the musicians representing the Sligo Live festival prior to their departure to London Stansted on Thursday morning.
The group were on their way to the Cambridge Folk Festival to help promote the Sligo event when a crafty airport employee streamed the performance live on Facebook.
The festival runs from Friday until Sunday at Cherry Hinton Hall, with other Irish acts playing at the event including Lisa Hannigan and Daoirí Farrell.
Sligo Live certainly got their action packed weekend off to a rowdy start.
