Concern grows for missing Irish woman in France as a body has been found in Annonay

TEACHER Eimear Noonan has been missing since Wednesday afternoon, from her hometown of Annonay in France.

The Co. Clare woman who is working as a teacher in the École Font Chevalier in Annonay was last seen on the 8th of November in a small town just 76km outside the city of Lyon.

As of yesterday, it was confirmed the Noonan family had travelled to France to join the search for their young daughter and sister.

Eimear's older brother appealed on social media pages for people with any information regarding his sister to get in touch, in a post which has been shared over 30,000 times.

According to reports of local media, the body of a young woman has been found near a viaduct in the town of Annonay.

French news site LeDauphine has reported that the formal identification of the woman's body has not yet been confirmed and that French police were treating the death as potentially accidental.
