A CYCLIST in his 40’s has been killed in a road traffic accident in West Donegal.
Gardai are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that occurred at Ards Beg, Gortahork in County Donegal at approximately 4 pm this afternoon.
According to Highland Radio, a male cyclist in his 40’s was fatally injured when struck by a car.
He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body has been taken to Letterkenny Hospital.
The driver of the car was uninjured.
This road is currently closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses.
