Golf Day In Memory of Actor Stephen Mangan's Father Raises £25k For Charity

A GOLF Day held in memory of actor Stephen Mangan's Father has raised £25,000 for the Marie Curie charity. The Toureen Group - James Mangan Memorial Golf Day took place at Enfield golf club in Middx where clients and employees of the Irish owned construction company took to the fairways for a round of golf and a presentation dinner back in the clubhouse.

The day was held in memory of James Mangan from Mayo, the father of actor Stephen Mangan, who was a founder of Mangan Brothers Contractors, a main contractor to the petroleum industry since 1962. Mangan Brothers Contractors was acquired by Toureen, another Irish construction firm headed by Kerry man Denis Nolan in 2001 and Denis and the Mangan family have remained close ever since.

James passed away in 2005 and his family have always been grateful for the support they received from the Marie Curie charity. Proceeds from the golf day, an impressive £25,000, were presented to Marie Curie during golf day presentation dinner.
