Irish cinemas to show Home Alone 1 & 2 and Elf in the run-up to Christmas

WE'RE REALLY getting into the Christmas spirit now.

With exactly one month to go until Christmas Day, Irish cinemas are helping to spread the festive cheer with the announcement that some absolute classic Christmas films are making a return to the big screen.

From the 6th of December up to Christmas Eve, Omniplex cinemas across the country will be showing Elf, Home Alone and Home Alone 2-- all for the price of a regular ticket.

The returns make up part of the Omniplex's popular #BringItBack campaign, which has previously seen classic Halloween movies like Hocus Pocus shown for a limited time in October.

The films will be shown in participating cinemas in both Northern Ireland and the Republic, so everyone on the island can be part of the festive nostalgia, whether you're paying €8 or £6 for a ticket.

See below for the dates the films will be shown...

Elf (December 6th - 12th)

Watch Will Ferrell play the adopted son of Santa Claus himself as he prances around New York City. What more could you want?

Iconic Quote: SAAAANTAAAAAA! OH MY GODDDDDDDDD! SANTA'S COMING! I KNOW HIM!

Home Alone (December 13th - 19th)

Macaulay Culkin plays Kevin McAllister, evil child genius torturing two bumbling would-be burglars.

Iconic Quote: So many choices-- we're going to go with the simple KEVIN!

Home Alone 2 (December 20th - 24th)

Macaulay Culkin is back, doing the same thing as last time but this time in New York. Wy mess with perfection, eh?

Iconic Quote: Much the same as last time-- Keep the change, ya filthy animal.
