Irish museum in the running against Taj Mahal, Great Wall of China to be named World's Leading Tourist Attraction

AN ICONIC Dublin museum is in the running to be named the World's Leading Tourist Attraction, in a battle which sees it compared to such legendary sights as The Great Wall of China, the Taj Mahal and Macchu Pichu.

EPIC, the Irish Emigration Museum, is one of 14 finalists in the World Travel Awards, which are widely regarded as being the ultimate hallmark of quality.

The EPIC museum has already clinched glory this year when it was named by the World Travel Awards as being Europe's Leading Tourist Attraction, managing to beat out stiff competition from the Eiffel Tower and Buckingham Palace among others.

The incredible museum offers insight into the stories of Irish emigrants from generations past, sharing stories and 'recognising the monumental impact the Irish diaspora has had on the world'.

It describes itself on its website as being a place where you can "discover Ireland from the outside in and find out why saying "I'm Irish" is one of the biggest conversation starters, no matter where you are"-- something that everyone from Ireland or with Irish ancestry can definitely relate to.

But for the EPIC Irish Emigration Museum to take its well-deserved spot as the World's Leading Tourist Attraction, it needs your help.

The 14 finalists are now in a race against time to get as many votes as possible from people who believe they deserve the title.

You can vote for the Irish Emigration Museum in the World Travel Awards here, and to find out more or book a trip you can visit the museum's website.
