Irish woman receives ‘message’ from her father… a year on from his death

AN IRISH woman who found a note inside a second-hand book believes it is a message from her late father who died a year earlier.

Radio host Lisa Gernon from Dublin found a note saying 'I love you Lisa' in the book at the NCBI second-hand charity shop in Blackrock.

She was shopping for a book to take with her on a holiday, which she had booked on the day of her late father Thomas' first anniversary.

According to the Irish Sun, Ms Gernon believes the note, which appears to be signed with a T, is from her dad.

He passed away on December 13, 2016 after a 10-month battle with blood cancer.

She told the paper: “I went into the charity shop just to pick up something for my holliers.

“I was flicking through the pages of a book called A Thousand Pardons by Jonathan Dee when I spotted a note wedged in the pages.

“I almost couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw that it read, ‘I love you Lisa’.

“There’s an initial after it… most people are saying it’s an ‘F’ but I’m going with ’T’ and that it’s a message from my dad Thomas.”

Ms Gernon added: “The book is the best 50 cent I ever spent.”
