Man dies in crash on rural Irish road as police hunt 'specific vehicle'

A MAN has tragically died following a crash on a rural road in Co. Fermanagh.

The single-vehicle collision occurred on Tuesday morning on the A4 Belfast Road outside Enniskillen.

The man lost his life near to the Killyhevlin Hotel, which overlooks Lough Erne.

The road was closed for several hours between the Tempo Road and Tamlaght as emergency services attended the scene.

No further details have been disclosed but PSNI Inspector Paula Johnston said police want information about a specific vehicle.

"I would appeal to anyone who was travelling on the Belfast Road, Enniskillen over the last number of days and may have noticed a vehicle off the road to contact police at Enniskillen on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 400 06/02/18," she said.
