A MAN in his 30's has died and two others are injured after the car they were travelling in crashed into a bridge.
The incident occurred at around 4.15 this morning at Caherogan, near the town of Miltown Malbay in County Clare.
The deceased, a man believed to be in his 30's, was sitting in the rear of the vehicle.
The driver of the car - a 28-year-old man - and a 25-year-old woman who was sitting in the front seat were taken to University Hospital Limerick.
The extent of their injuries is not yet known.
The road has been closed to facilitate an examination by Garda forensic collision investigators.
