Roy Keane denies road rage allegation

ROY Keane has pleaded not guilty to a public order offence over an alleged road rage incident involving a taxi driver.

The former Manchester United captain, from Hale, Cheshire, was not present at this morning’s hearing at Trafford Magistrates Court.

The not guilty plea was entered on his behalf.

It was alleged that the 43-year-old behaved aggressively towards taxi driver Fateh Kerar, 44, during a confrontation in Altrincham on January 30.

Mr Kerar claims that the argument began when he and his passenger noticed the Ireland assistant manager in his Range Rover.

The case will be heard at Manchester Magistrates Court on 19 June.
