'Thank you for bringing my mum's medication' - Gardai receive heartwarming card from grateful youngster

GARDAI in Dublin received a lovely thank you card from a very grateful youngster on Thursday.

The child told them how pleased they were that officers had gone out of their way to help their family by delivering their mother's medication.

The gesture even appeared to inspire the tike to become a garda member themselves when they get older.

Posting an image of the card to their Facebook account, An Garda Síochána thanked the youngster, whose identity hasn't been revealed, for giving them something to smile about amid all the coronavirus chaos.

The adorable card read: "Dear Garda, thank you for bringing my mum's medication.

"Good job at being a police. I like police or Gardas.

"When I grow up I want to be a cop!"

It isn't clear exactly how old the child is, but users on Facebook commented that they must be "very well raised" to write such a lovely card.

Another user said: "My heart is melting. That's so sweet and thoughtful."

I think we can all agree that this is exactly the content we all need right now, it's not all doom and gloom!
