Two young men, 21 and 19, rushed to hospital after being stabbed in Irish city

GARDAI are appealing for witnesses after two young men were hospitalised suffering from stab wounds following an incident in Co. Dublin last night.

The incident occurred on Main Street, Swords at around 10.45pm on Tuesday night.

The two men, who are aged 19 and 21-years-old, were taken to Beaumont Hospital with injuries that are not understood to be life threatening.

A spokesperson for An Garda Siochana said: "At approximately 22.45pm two men aged 19 and 21 years sustained apparent stab wounds during what was described as an altercation involving a number of men on Main Street Swords."

An examination of the scene on Main Street has been carried out.

No arrests have been made in connection with the incident, and an investigation has been launched.
