“I’M going to kill you!” is probably not what any man wants to hear when he proposes – but luckily this man’s new fiancée said ‘yes’ too.
Perhaps the shock of being proposed to thousands of feet in the air got to her, though.
On a routine flight from Cork to Lanzarote, holidaymakers were surprised when one man stood up and started talking into the plane’s intercom when his mortified soon-to-be fiancée was asked to join him at the top of the plane.
The unnamed man had put plenty of thought into his romantic gesture, even organising for the cabin crew to sneak a bunch of flowers and a bottle of champagne on board to surprise his new fiancée.
It would have been a lot more awkward if she had said no – but luckily the pair disembarked the aircraft in Lanzarote as a newly engaged couple.
