Impressive Longford win at Ruislip

Longford 1-18
London 0-6

LONDON suffered a disappointing Allianz Football League Division Four loss as Longford cruised to a convincing victory at Ruislip.

Jack Sheedy’s impressive Longford side delivered a purposeful performance to defeat London, who were in trouble from an early stage.  With Barry Gilleran and Kevin Diffley outstanding at midfield Longford dictated the majority of the first half.

London were typically honest and hard working, but when the interval rolled around Paul Coggins' side trailed by 0-8 to 0-2.

Paul McKeon grabbed a fine 43rd minute goal for Longford which meant London were simply embarking on a damage limitation job for the remainder of the game.

Paul Coggins’ team did battle until the end, but promotion chasing Longford continued to dominate claiming another important success.
