Hearn: Taylor v Cameron 2 could happen in November

Eddie Hearn has claimed that a rematch between Katie Taylor and Chantelle Cameron will most likely take place in November.

Taylor and Northampton native Cameron fought in Dublin's 3Arena in May, and Taylor was handed the first loss of her professional career.

A packed 3Arena, filled with Irish supporters, witnessed the historic bout in Dublin, and the clamor for another fight in the Irish capital seems to be gaining more and more traction.

Hearn explained that Taylor's wish is to fight her conqueror, and that another opponent will not suffice for the 37-year-old.

Speaking to Matchroom Boxing YouTube this week, Hearn said, "Katie is going to exercise that rematch clause against Chantelle Cameron. We'll plan that fight for November time. It's gonna be a huge fight. There was no talking Katie Taylor into any other fight. All she wanted was a chance to rematch Chantelle Cameron."

There had been talks to get a fight in Croke, but Hearn has played down any rematch taking place in GAA headquarters. Dublin's 3Arena is being viewed again as a potential venue for the fight. "Maybe, I mean again it depends on timing. September's kind of the latest that you can have that fight," added Hearn.

"I think a stadium would be fun, but it was pretty good in there on Saturday, I loved the arena, just unbelievable. And one of the things I enjoyed most about Saturday was it was a 9,000 arena, at 6:30pm - 6:45pm we had 7,000 people in. The main event was at 10:30pm - 10:45pm."

The rematch will likely take place on November 4 or 25, according to The Independent.
